OUR CLIENTS, OUR FRIENDS

BEANSPIRING

Brothers Kobus and Cornel Wiese formed Wiesenhof Coffees in 1996 when they began roasting their own coffee beans on their premises. The demand for their gourmet coffee soon grew and the business expanded into coffee products, coffee machines, consumables, disposables and franchised coffee shops. Following a decision to import coffee beans on a larger scale and frachise the coffee shops, the Wiesenhof Coffees brand is the fastest growing coffee shop in South Africa.

While Nuvision's Arnold du Piesanie started doing business with Wiesenhof Coffees brothers in 2004, the relationship dates back to school days in Paarl Gymnasium.

"The Wiese brothers have always been about passion, hard work and self belief, a drive to be and do the best in everything they get involved in. They have tremendous self belief and drive.

Kobus was in matric when I was a standards six or Grade 8 pupil. He never played Craven Week but became a legendary provincial and Springbok rugby player thorough sheer hard work and believing in himself.

Cornel and I played rugby and cricket together in our matric year. Like Kobus, Cornel wasn't selected for WP Craven Week either, but got selected for the WP League side - a team made up of previously disadvantaged players. The team included a few players from the bigger schools who had missed Craven Week selection. Typically, Cornel was selected for the SA Schools rugby side after a fantastic performance for the WP League at the Craven Week.

The Wiese brothers have always motivated me, showing what honest hard work, passion and self-belief can achieve; and the ability to face a challenge. Who will forget Kobus standing up to and meeting the challenge of the All Black haka in the 1995 World Cup Final? It was inspiring. This is why they are so successful in business as well."
