OUR CLIENTS, OUR FRIENDS

HANDLE WITH CARE

Nuvision client Southern African Fruit Terminals (Pty) Ltd (SAFT) was established in 1999 as a cold storage solution for fruit and other perishable industries.

The SAFT Group of Companies now boasts several facilities throughout the Western Cape and Kwazulu-Natal. The SAFT Group is a subsidiary of two major international fruit terminals, SEABREX in Rotterdam and BNFW of SEA-INVEST in Antwerp.

Nuvision's Arnold du Piesanie always becomes friends with his clients. That is, if they are not already friends!

Arnold was a great personal friend of the late Marcus Erwee, who was the Risk Manager of SAFT. He was also an old army buddy of Patrick McLoughlin, who was the MD. Now, Dr Uys van Zyl is the Risk Manager and Ockert Henning is the MD. Dr Uys Van Zyl has become a food friend of Arnold's while Ockert was an old rugby adversary from school days.

"I always say that the way SAFT handles the export products is the way that the world sees them. It is so important that the fruit gets handled with care. Being part of the logistics chain makes the responsibility so much more, knowing that it goes from the local farm to a client overseas," says Arnold.

"When walking into their cold stores you always get the feeling that everything is under control. There is so much uploading and offloading going on between Trucks and Forklifts - you need to be on top of your game. It is a well-run company. This makes doing business with them such a pleasure. There is also trust and loyalty towards their service providers."
