RACING AHEAD

Mike Fourie, previous owner of MD Transport, founded Johan Fourie Racing (JFR) 5 years ago, mostly for his two sons, one of whom is one of SA's top racing drivers and was crowned the Class A champion in 2009.

JFR is situated in Parow and the company transports furniture throughout South Africa. The Fouries are perfectionists in everything that they do - they hire only the best drivers, their trucks always look immaculate on the road and, according to Nuvision's Pieter Rossouw, they are the best furniture moving company in the country. Importantly, Mike and his sons, joined by Jackie Strauss, love what they do and this has contributed to the company growing while others have struggled to keep their trucks on the road.

Mike Fourie was Pieter Rossouw's first client, a business relationship that started in 2006. Mike Fourie was president of the Northerns Tech Rugby club and a rugby friendship became stronger while holidaying in Stilbaai together.
